Please be patient with me, as I have never attempted a blog before! I decided to start this blog to record my progress as I start a new beauty regimen. Hopefully others can benefit from my trials and errors!
Let me begin by stating the reason why I started looking at changing my skin care regimen. I am 33 years old, and up until about age 32, my skin was pretty youthful. I think since it was on the oily side that it delayed aging and wrinkles. Up until that time my skincare regiment consisted of ivory soap and water.
Then I noticed a change. My face became more dry and I began to notice some creases in my in my forehead. I bought the Neutrogena microdermabrasion system. My skin looked smoother after using it, but the next day or so it was back to normal and the creases didn't change.
I tried using some Bioelements products that were recommended to me by an esthetician. They were okay. I liked the foaming facial cleanser in cleaning off my make-up. I also used the refining serum, but didn't really notice the type of changes I was hoping for. The same with the night time eye cream. It was a good moisturizer, but I wasn't seeing the type of results I wanted.
My next step, after doing a lot of reading was Epicura Quench Hyaluronic Acid Serum. It's supposed to hydrate you face and had really good reviews. I thought my lips looked more hydrated while using it, but I didn't notice a huge improvement in the overall hydration of my face.
This lead me to my latest trial, Rodan and Fields Redefine. I had a close friend who sells it and I was pleased with her personal results so that helped me decide to try it. I figured I might as well sell it, if I'm going to use it so I can get the discounts. So far I have used it for exactly one week.
In that time, I have noticed my skin feels smoother to the touch. On day 7, I used their macro exfoliator and was impressed with the results. When I changed the filter (it is changed with each use), it was overflowing with dead skin cells. Yuck! I noticed my skin seemed to be a much more even tone and the texture was better. I think it needed some major exfoliation! It's too early to notice the changes in the forehead wrinkles, but so far I am optimistic! I did stop using my primer before my foundation this week. My make-up seems to go on much smoother. I'll give an update after week 2.
